About US
The Department of Arts, English, and Humanities (AEH) offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and in Communication Studies, as well as an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree in Theatre. The department also offers courses in music, philosophy, religion, French, and Spanish.
AEH sponsors the Upsilon Tau chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society and an award-winning debate program. Our theater troupe, The Empty Space Players, performs annually and our creative writing journal, The Jongleur, publishes essays and creative work by student writers.
Our alumni have pursued graduate study in English, communication, and law, and careers in the arts, business, and education. Faculty members have published peer-reviewed articles in American, Canadian, and European journals and anthologies in literary criticism, cinema studies, performative writing, popular culture, French literature, medieval studies, philosophy, migration studies, rhetorical criticism, medieval studies, American studies, theatre, and other areas.
